Hello lovelies!
I have some swatches of some new Essence pretties, called The Satins, which have, surprise surprise, a satin finish. I was curious as to how that would turn out, so I purchased them. First up is New York City Call, a nude shimmer with a golden undertone:
Secondly, we have Dare to Kiss, a nude shimmer with a pink undertone:
Both polishes apply very easily and are opaque in two thin coats. They dry fast, so they can be filed under quick manicure-worthy. I like both colours, although I think Dare to Kiss does not really look that good on me. But I'm sure that with a different complexion it would look awesome! Both can also be used for nail art base colours, like here.
Speaking of which, I did my aunt's nails with both polishes and a third one, Essence "Caramel Brownie". I did a quick saran wrap manicure on her and this matte marbled look is what came out!
Oh, wow, I reallllly love both of these shades! What a cute mani you did on your aunt, too!
