The Digit-al Dozen does Decades - Terrific Twenties

Hello lovelies!

Another month, another prompt! This month, The Digit-al Dozen does Decades! And with my newly-acquired art deco pattern plate, the decision for the first manicure was made: The Roaring Twenties during which Art Deco first became popular. (And since 'roaring' means 'terrific', I had my alliterating blog title, whoohoo!) I decided to give it a little twist though, slightly straying from the traditional black-and-gold designs that immediately come to mind. I did incorporate the two aforementioned shades, but decided that my base should be different, just for the hell of it!

After having just watched the newest episode of Sherlock, I simply had to use one of my few Sherlock polishes SOON! As the episode was a heavy one for Watson, I decided to go with Incidental Twin "Not His Date" which you can find here. I double stamped with BPS black and gold polishes and BP-L054. Almost all images on this plate are waaaaay too big for the average nail, but the effects are still nice. I topped it all off with Seche Vite.

I'd love to know what you think about this unorthodox approach to an art deco nail pattern. And please do check out the other girls' creations!

  7. I love these three colours together. They incorporated lots of warm wood tones in deco architecture, so I totally picture that!
