Ganapati & LynBDesigns "I'm not myself, you see"

Hello lovelies!

Today happens to be the birthday of one of my friends from India, thus she is beginning a new cycle around the Sun. This inspired me to post this today, since today's mani features Ganapati, god of many good things and especially good beginnings.

Of course, I only learned this after I had put the cute elephant on my nails and asked my friends from India whether it was some kind of god or something, since it looked Indian to me. But now I know ;) I learn many new things from these new friends of mine :D

So I started off with two coats of this amazing nail polish from LynBDesigns, "I'm not myself, you see" from the Wonderland collection. Then I applied SV and waited for it all to dry. Then I applied the Ganapati decals from Bornprettystore, some of them cut into pieces to frame my nails. The gold stickers are from a sheet of nail stickers I got as a surprise with my prize of Nailthins from Pretty Darn Nails :) So sweet! To seal it all in, I used two coats of top coat.

Cute, huh? Now let's take a close look to the polish:

Isn't it marvellous?! Such a warm rusty brown colour and DAT HOLO! It is well-present, but still subtly, adding its rainbow to the gorgeous brown goodness.

Now if you want these decals, go get them with free worldwide shipping and a 10% discount at bornprettystore.com, when using code SXDQ10!

  5. I learned something new today! I had no idea that Ganapati was even the name of a God let alone what it was a God of. Great polish to pair with the decals, I especially love the gold ones that frame your pinky and pointer finger.

    1. Yes, isn't it fun to learn this stuff? Because in India, he is worshipped by almost everyone and his day of worship marks the beginning of all other worship days as well. He is very important, and I had no idea.. I'm so lucky to work with people from India!
      Thank you <3

  11. When the page loaded I literally said "whoa!" out loud. Those decals are really interesting! I learned about Ganesh when I took art history in college and it is one of my favorite Hindu deities.
