The Digit-al Dozen Redoes Art - Poppies

Hello lovelies!

This month, The Digit-al Dozen Redoes Art! For day one of this challenge, I chose to recreate a contemporary piece made by Nicolette Vaughan Horner, that I came across on Pinterest and thought was gorgeous!

Dawn Poppies by Nicolette Vaughan Horner
I started with a white base, which I made less perfect with some sheer black jelly. Then I sponged on Incidental Twin "Beth".

After that I sponged on Incidental Twin "Tell 'Em I Ain't Comin' Back" and sealed it in with SV.

Then I drew the stems of the poppies with a striper and with a detail brush from BPS I painted the flowers. I used two reds (China Glaze "Igniting Love" and Catrice "PuREDfied Simplicity") and yellow (Essence "Little Miss Sunrise").

This may very well be one of my favourite manis ever, even though it does not completely match the inspiration!

Now check out the other ladies' art!

  10. I think you've made a brilliant replica on your nails, and I love the dusty background to suit the red poppies!
