Hi lovelies!
Happy ManiMonday! I'm super tired, so I'm gonna keep it short.. I have 2 of HEMA's new glitter polishes for you today! They are part of the "Special Effect Nailpolish" line. Let's start with the blue one, no. 91.

This is three thin coats, but for normal wear, two could do. Application was good, no issues. I really like this polish, it is not your average glitter! It has blue and iridescent glitter, as well as holo glitter and a purplish shimmer. Really pretty!
Then I decided to add some pretty snowflake stickers... Well fifteen minutes after application, I regretted that decision.. Despite sealing them in with two coats of top coat, I experienced some heavy lifting... So sad, because they're so pretty!
Second I have the green glitter polish, no. 93:
Now this one looked real purrrrty in that bottle, but that didn't quite translate onto the nail, unfortunately. This polish also had some application issues, it was quite thick and didn't self-level and just won't get opaque! I'm gonna have to try it over a green base someday soon, because I still believe it has prettiness potential!
I did some stamping in an effort to make it, uhm, better, but that didn't work either... I used BPS light blue stamping polish and BP-L009.
But, meh, not what I had in mind. The stamping polish is good, though!
What do you think of the blue polish? And did you ever get lifting issues with nail art stickers? Any suggestions on what to do with that green polish?
I agree with you, I love the blue one because it's not your normal micro glitter, but the green one looks much better in the bottle than on the nail.
ReplyDeleteI've had issues if the sticker is on the thicker side. No matter how many top coats I put on, it still lifts. Also, the second polish is pretty but it stinks it's a pain of a formula
ReplyDeleteLove no.91!
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad about 93, because it is really pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat blue is uhhmazing!!
ReplyDeleteThe first polish is stunning! I love how the snowflakes look too, but it's a shame that they didn't stay put.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a big shame for those snowflakes lifting because they are adorable!
ReplyDeletethe blue one is neat...but I have only ever used stickers once.
ReplyDeleteOf the two I think I like the blue glitter best, and I think it would look so good with the design you applied to the other as well!
ReplyDeleteThe blue shade is soooooo pretty! And I am curiousto see if you can get the second one to work as well.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! I love the snowflake mani you did!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I love that blue!! The snowflakes are a nice touch. ^_^
ReplyDeleteThese are very indie-like glitters for a mainstream brand!
ReplyDeleteI ran to Hema and got the blue one :)
